The profit and loss account under French standards, translated into English
Many foreign business owners who operate a company in France have difficulty interpreting their financial statements. For this reason, we offer below an income statement in its official form, to which we have added the English translation of each line in red text.
The French accounting system is made up of a nomenclature of accounts classified numerically (chart of accounts – ANCC n° 2022-06). The detailed income statement presented below does not include all the accounts in the accounting plan. However, we have added subdivisions of certain accounts as permitted by the regulations, depending on the needs for individualizing certain expenses or income.
