Energy: Aids to companies – 1/2

Energy Aids to companies 2023
In response to the energy crisis, the government has introduced a series of support measures for businesses.
These measures can be divided into two categories:
  • Aids directly managed by the energy supplier;
  • Aids granted at the request of the company.
This article summarises the first category; the second will be the subject of a later article.

> Capping the price at €280/Mwh

To benefit from this scheme, you must be a very small company, have renewed your contract in the second half of 2022, and not be on the regulated price.
You must then send a request for contract of renegotiation to your electricity supplier, together with this certificate, duly completed.
Once this has been done, the electricity supplier will automatically apply the new price directly to your invoice.

> The “bouclier tarifaire” (price shield)

In order to be eligible for the “bouclier tarifaire”, your company must meet the following 3 criteria:
  • Number of employees less than 10;
  • Turnover of less than €2 million;
  • Electricity meter with a capacity of less than 36 kVA.
The “bouclier tarifaire” is a State aid that will be managed directly by the electricity supplier through your invoice.
In order to ensure that it is in place, you must return this certificate to this last one.

> The “amortisseur électricité” (electricity shock absorber)

To be eligible for the “amortisseur électricité”, you must meet the following 3 criteria:
  • Have a VSE or SME with less than 250 employees;
  • Not being eligible for the “bouclier tarifaire”;
  • Have an electricity meter with a capacity greater than 36 kVA.
The “amortisseur électricité” is a partial coverage of the price increase by the State. To enable you to measure the amount of this possible coverage, you can use the simulator set up by the administration at the following address :
This scheme is also managed directly by your electricity provider. To do so, you must return this certificate to your supplier.
As these schemes are based on certificates drawn up by the company director, we cannot assist you in drawing up these certificates. In order to benefit from these schemes, it is therefore imperative that you contact your energy provider with this certificate filled in. You should also check the correct application of the scheme when you receive your invoice.
We will soon inform you of the aid schemes allocated on request by the company. Until then, we remain at your disposal to answer your questions!
